Position Summary:
The Vice President of Operations and Technology (Start-Up) is a critical executive role within our organization, responsible for leading and optimizing key operational and technological functions. This individual will sit at the executive table and play a pivotal role in shaping our future. The VP will oversee Customer Success, Account Onboarding, Customer Retention, Financial Operations, Data Operations, Technology, and Human Resources, driving process optimization, automation, and the integration of AI solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide strategic leadership and direction to the operations and technology teams.
- Optimize customer journey processes to enhance Customer Success, Account Onboarding, and Customer Retention.
- Drive financial operations efficiency through data-driven strategies and automation.
- Lead data operations with a focus on accuracy, security, and leveraging insights.
- Oversee technology infrastructure, ensuring robust computer network architecture and cybersecurity.
- Develop and implement HR strategies to foster team development and growth.
- Introduce and integrate AI and automation solutions where appropriate to enhance efficiency.
- Implement strong process methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, Six Sigma) to streamline operations.
- Manage projects with exceptional project management skills, ensuring timely and successful delivery.
- Utilize advanced Excel and Business Intelligence (BI) tools to analyze and report key performance indicators (KPIs).
- Cultivate a high-performance culture within a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
- Present to executive staff, private equity partners, and the board of directors.
Key Requirements:
- Minimum of 3 years of leadership experience in a start-up or high-growth entrepreneurial organization. Must be a driven entrepreneur to succeed!
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in the Payments or FinTech industry.
- Proven track record of optimizing customer journeys and enhancing customer experience.
- Strong data-driven mindset with a focus on KPIs and performance metrics.
- Passion for and experience with automation and AI integration.
- Proficient in process methodologies such as Agile, Waterfall, and Six Sigma.
- Exceptional project management skills, with a history of successful project delivery.
- Advanced proficiency in Excel and Business Intelligence tools.
- Knowledge of computer network architecture and cybersecurity best practices.
- Experience in growing a company towards a significant financial event (e.g., IPO or acquisition) is a plus.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and maintain a high sense of urgency.
- Naturally curious with a drive for continuous improvement and innovation.
- Strong leadership presence, comfortable leading and presenting to executive teams, private equity partners, and the board of directors.
