Jr. DevOps Engineer

About This Role

Agility Partners is seeking a qualified Junior DevOps Engineer to fill an open position with one of our banking clients. This is an exciting entry-level opportunity to contribute to the development and maintenance of scalable software solutions and infrastructure. In this role, you will assist in platform management, system design, and API development while learning from experienced team members.

Responsibilities

1. Assist in maintaining platform uptime, performance, stability, and scalability
2. Support in designing and implementing system architecture
3. Help develop and maintain a public API
4. Collaborate with team members on big data technologies and automation solutions

The Ideal Candidate

Qualifications

1. Basic experience in software/systems development
2. Familiarity with programming languages: PHP, Ruby, Python, JavaScript, Elixir, Go, or similar
3. Basic knowledge of Linux administration
4. Exposure to cloud providers like AWS, Digital Ocean, Google Cloud
5. Understanding of IT security best practices
6. Experience or coursework in automation/configuration software (Puppet, Ansible) and orchestration software (Docker, Kubernetes)
7. Basic understanding of computer networks
8. Willingness to learn and work with production-scale systems
