The Team You’ll Work With…
We are looking for a commercial sales representative in Los Angeles who can help ensure that all of our customers have an industry-best experience. We’re talking about someone who loves to sell, LOVES tile, and is passionate about selling to commercial architects and designers and providing great account management by leveraging technology and great design. We are a passionate US manufacturer and our clients are our most important asset.
You will be part of our sales team that drives our commercial sales effort in cities and regions throughout the US and Canada. You will be responsible for your own book of key accounts including designers, architects, and contractors, and your compensation will be directly tied to your success in quoting and closing sales. You will be supported by an incredible team of dedicated makers and sales support.
You will be based out of Los Angeles and will work remotely as well as in the field with clients in LA and the surrounding area. The Opportunities You’ll Have…
- Meeting and exceeding sales quotas. Crushing your targets and setting a new standard for initiative and efficiency among your peers.
- Create and grow a project pipeline and maintain contact with firms to ensure the project goes from specification to the final order stage.
- Engage with A&D firms and other commercial accounts in person across your territory, provide training sessions, and develop relationships with the aim to identify projects and provide specifications.
- Attend and coordinate industry events and trade shows, as well as curate unique and authentic experiences to grow and deepen client relationships.
- Maintain client libraries with the most current and applicable products for that firm.
- Continuously maintain, organize, and update CRM.
- Manage a travel and expense budget.
- Represent the Fireclay Tile brand every single day in every single interaction.
- Delivering world-class customer success.
- Accountable to the B Corp standards the company lives by which balances purpose and profit.

- Sales experience, preferably in a client-building business (think proactive, not reactive selling!).
- Must be able to be in LA to meet clients daily and meet same-day requests to meet clients in an office.
- Proven ability in new business development and client relationship management (you know how to self-source and you love to network).
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
- Have a background in the Commercial architecture and design industry; experience in Commercial Sales is vital.
- Are very comfortable with online technologies and social media.
- Have exemplary organization and time management skills with the ability to attract and retain new clients while maintaining existing accounts.
- Are a self-starter and don’t need any hand-holding, but can take feedback well and are comfortable giving it as well.
- Don’t mind getting dirty and having fun working in and around building materials and factories.

Work Requirements
TRAVEL: Travel throughout California or other places a few times a year will be required. Travel may be done via a variety of ways including driving your own car or a rental car, plane or train, public transportation including bus, subway, and other, shared rides such as Taxi, Uber, or Lyft, bicycling, walking, running, or other means as deemed appropriate and safe. Ensuring you are following all safety precautions and the law during travel is essential.
WORK REQUIREMENTS: This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are approximately Monday through Friday, hours may vary. This position often requires long hours and occasional early morning/evening work.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, climb in and out of the cab of a van and lift gates off and replace back on as well as accommodate customer’s requests as to where the material is to be delivered. The employee will drive and also use other forms of transportation. The employee is frequently required to walk; reach with hands and arms, shoulders and legs and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to sit; climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must regularly lift and /or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 30 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50+ pounds.
