Position Overview:

We are looking for passionate and enthusiastic Maitre D' with a strong work ethic, and an endless curiosity to learn and grow with our restaurant. The Maitre D’ plays a pivotal role in ensuring exceptional guest experiences and smooth service operations. 

For this position we offer $16 per hour for training and $18 per hour plus tips once training is completed. This position reports to the General Manager, Dining Room Manager, and the Beverage Manager.


Maitre D' responsibilities include (but are not limited to):

Floor Management:

  • Set up and manage the opening floorplan for each service.
  • Plot and adjust tables to accommodate turns and maximize efficiency during service.

Guest Experience:

  • Flag all VIPs, special occasions (e.g., birthdays, anniversaries), and allergies prior to service.
  • Maintain and build relationships with first-time and repeat guests.
  • Ensure corresponding greeting cards are signed and ready before service begins.

Communication & Coordination:

  • Serve as the liaison between kitchen and service teams to coordinate walk-ins, last-minute tables, and open menus.
  • Communicate with servers regarding VIPs, allergies, and other guest-specific needs.
  • Coordinate large party menus with the Chef, ensuring smooth execution.

Administrative Duties:

  • Oversee the upkeep and updates of inDesign and menus, ensuring accuracy before service.
  • Open reservation slots two weeks in advance.
  • Keep the guest relations (GR) system updated with important guest details.
  • Check and respond to the info email in a timely manner.

Podium & Team Management:

  • Maintain podium organization and direct the team in maintaining bathroom cleanliness and other guest-related duties.
  • Flex between roles as needed, including serving as a server, SA, or bartender.

Leadership & Knowledge:

  • Maintain a full understanding of all NA:EUN properties.
  • Ensure team members are engaged and up-to-date with industry-related information.
  • Share extensive knowledge of beer, sool, and beverages by the glass (BTG) with the team.

 

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to lift up to 10 - 20lbs if necessary
  • Safely and effectively use all necessary tools and equipment
  • Stand and walk for an entire shift, including moving safely through all areas of the restaurant
