This position is remote in New Orleans, LA; travel to local properties may be required.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Accurately and efficiently review and approve applications, recertifications, self-certifications, and interim certifications in accordance with Section 42 tax credit (LIHTC), bond, HOME, and other affordable housing programs
- Calculate total income from third-party sources
- Monitor Available Unit Rule and Unit Vacancy Rule
- Complete and review lease paperwork
- Maintain database, including Build Tenant Income Certifications for all certifications, upload and attach required documentation in Yardi
- Assist in preparation and maintenance of resident files as required by regulatory agreements, including setting up, maintaining compliance files and uploading digital copies in Yardi
- Assist with file audits and inspections as required by federal, state, and local partners
- Travel to properties as needed to assist with file audits, inspections, and training as required
- Assist the Director of Compliance with creating and completing any reports required by monitoring agencies, investors, etc.
- Complete resident file audits for new properties acquired
- Assist with training on-site staff on compliance policies and procedures, submitting certifications for approval, and filing documentation requirements
- Perform other duties as assigned
- This hybrid position requires travel to local properties in Louisiana; travel is estimated at 60% - 75%
- Must be able to work some weekends and extended hours
- Must be a self-starter who is organized and detail-orientated with good communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to operate on a deadline-driven schedule and prioritize a variety of tasks
- Must comply with regulatory agreements and possess critical thinking, evaluation, and analytical skills
- Must be able to explain program requirements to residents
- Ability to demonstrate professionalism and integrity and exercise confidentiality in all areas of performance
- Knowledge of LIHTC, HOME, and HUD programs is a plus. Compliance certification such as COS or HCCP is preferred
