Job Description: As a Civil Construction Estimator, you'll play a pivotal role in our project planning process. Collaborating closely with clients, architects/engineers, subcontractors, and suppliers, you'll meticulously analyze construction documents, specifications, and proposals to develop accurate estimates for time, cost, and labor. Your expertise will ensure that projects are meticulously planned and executed to meet client expectations.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Review municipal specifications to ensure compliance with project requirements.
- Analyze plans, specifications, and other documentation to understand project scope and requirements.
- Assist in obtaining vendor quotations to inform cost estimates.
- Develop comprehensive estimates for time, cost, and labor for various construction projects.
- Bachelor's degree in Civil or Construction Engineering, or equivalent work experience.
- 5+ years of experience in Heavy Civil Construction Estimating.
- Prior experience with Municipal, County, and DOT Roadway Construction projects is essential.
- Strong mathematical and analytical skills.
- Proficiency in estimating software for accurate project assessments.
- Ability to walk long distances and traverse construction sites.
- Capability to lift 25lbs or more as needed during project evaluations.
