Description

The Regional VP, Health Services relies on medical background to create and oversee clinical strategy for the region. The Regional VP, Health Services requires an in-depth understanding of how organization capabilities interrelate across segments and/or enterprise-wide.


Responsibilities

The AVP, Care Technology will serve as the national clinical leader for care technology leading clinical perspective on (1) clinician point-of-care technology enablement (e.g. EMR, voice) and (2) technology enablement of overall care model, and responsible for technology enablement approach improving clinician experience and supporting impactful clinical care and outcomes for the organization.


Key Responsibilities:

  1. Partner with IT and Population Health/EMR teams to drive strategy, prioritization, technology selection and deployment, and effectiveness in use of technology across the clinical organization.
  2. Drive clinical strategy & execution of new care-related technology with high clinician adoption and effectiveness.
  3. Steward and represent the clinician voice and needs in technology-related decision-making, through market & leadership engagement, feedback forums, and synthesis of input into overall planning and making technology selection decisions.
  4. Drive clinician SMEs and super-users to effectively support division & market teams in day-to-day use of care technology.
  5. Develop a framework around assessing care technology usability, functionality, reliability, and effectiveness, from individual clinician and the overall clinical organization's perspective, in partnership with IT and Population Health/EMR teams, and drive tangible improvements.
  6. Dyad partner to IT and Population Health/EMR teams and providing support to Expansion/Training around clinician technology training.

Reports to: VP, Care Model & Innovation.
Location: Based in one of the PCO markets and Hybrid home or Hybrid Office workstyle.
Clinical Practice: Initially 20%-30% of time (1d - 1.5 per week).


Qualifications: Highly credible clinical leader with deep understanding of clinician pain points and day-to-day workflows and operations of value-based primary care models, and passion for improving clinician experience and effectiveness through technology enablement. Experience with EMR functionality and additional care technology tools, and prior experience leading EMR/technology deployments with large-scale clinical teams. Effective convener and synthesizer of clinician input and effective steward of clinician needs. Ability to develop a strategic clinical roadmap and manage multiple operating, development, and deployment initiatives in a matrix fashion with shared service leaders market clinical leaders and teams. Formal and/or lived experience and certification in technology and informatics.
