E.A. Buck is a fast-growing financial services company with dual headquarters in Denver and Honolulu. We’re seeking a Staff Accountant to join our team in Denver. The Staff Accountant will review/manage the day-to-day outsourced accounting activities for the firm including A/R, A/P, Bank, Credit Card, and other account reconciliations and perform journal entries as needed. In addition, assist in performing financial planning and analysis on a monthly basis. The ideal candidate will be detail oriented, organized and motivated. Primary systems in place include Microsoft Office, Salesforce, QuickBooks Desktop, Bill.com & ADP.

Candidate will be based in Denver, CO.

This position is a full-time, in-office position based out of our Denver office.

NOTE: Only people who are currently living in Colorado will be considered for this role.

Salary / Benefits Package:

Base Salary range of $52,500 to $62,500 per year, based on experience.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. Download monthly cash receipts and reconcile to general ledger.
  2. Reconcile deposits to statements.
  3. Generate invoices as needed.
  4. Download weekly bank disbursements.
  5. Input invoices into QB weekly.
  6. Code EFT disbursements activity in QB.
  7. Print checks on Fridays and deliver to Chief Executive Officer (CEO).
  8. Maintain the check log.
  9. Download weekly credit card transactions from Chase.
  10. Obtain management approval/signature when required.
  11. Download credit card transactions via QB sync, directly into QuickBooks. Code as appropriate.
  12. Reconcile the credit card ledger to statement monthly.
  13. Draft miscellaneous journal entries as needed.
  14. Reconcile the bank ledger to bank statement monthly.
  15. Pay state taxes on recurring basis (monthly).
  16. Assist with annual 1099 reporting.
  17. Assist with approving ACH Positive Pay.
  18. Assist with maintenance of accounting filing/records.

Job Requirements:

  1. Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
  2. 2-3 years of public accounting experience preferred
  3. Self-Directed
  4. Self-Motivated
  5. Strong Interpersonal Communications Skills
