We are currently looking for a Director of Finance, Commercial Marketing to lead the Commercial Marketing Finance team. As the leader of the Commercial Marketing Finance team, you will be at the center of the commercial marketing leadership teams (Azure & Industry, Modern Work, Business Applications, and Security) driving planning, insights, investment prioritization, marketing optimization and efficiencies.
The Commercial Marketing Finance team is part of the Marketing & Consumer Sales Finance team and the Experiences Devices, and Marketing (EDM) Finance organization. This team provides commercial finance support & analysis and partners closely with stakeholders to drive strategic prioritization, thought leadership, and resource trade-off decisions with the goal of increasing marketing investment Return on Investment (ROI).

Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
- Master's Degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, Economics, Data Science or related field AND 8 years experience in financial analysis, accounting, controllership or finance, or related field
- OR Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, Economics, Data Science or related field AND 10 years experience in financial analysis, accounting, controllership or finance, or related field
- OR equivalent experience.
- 1 year experience managing direct reports.
Preferred Qualifications:
- People management experience with demonstrated success
- Polished interpersonal skills and verbal and written communication skills
- Demonstrated drive including ability to effectively manage multiple projects
- Ability to collaborate and be comfortable dealing with ambiguity
- Ability to lead and influence business partners
Responsibilities
- Lead individual team members, providing coaching, priority setting, support, and leadership to drive business growth.
- Set the vision and execution for the Commercial Marketing finance team.
- Drive data informed decision making and systematic solutions.
- Directs and coaches teams as they leverage relationships with customers and partners.
- Directs, performs, and reviews analysis and research of present and future financial performance.
- Guides others to contribute to budget, forecast, reporting, closing, and recurring business review processes.
- Generates actionable plans based on complex results and ambiguous findings.
- Drives the right tone from executive leadership and ensures compliance with Microsoft policies.
