Overview

In this role, you will support the project team in coordinating shipping activities for construction projects. You will be responsible for coordinating domestic and international shipping activities, overseeing pick-up and drop-off schedules, and effectively managing any shipping issues to ensure smooth operations and support to the project team.

Your responsibilities will include:

    Managing all project logistics functions required for the successful execution of construction activities under the supervision of, and subject to, final approval by the Project Manager/Procurement Manager
  • Coordinating trucking, rail, air, and ocean freight activities including scheduling pick-ups and drop-offs
  • Communicating with shipping partners to ensure timely and efficient transportation of goods
  • Managing and resolving shipping issues and challenges that may arise during transportation
  • Maintaining accurate records of shipments, including tracking and delivery information
  • Collaborating with internal teams to optimize logistics processes and improve efficiency
  • Ensuring compliance with transportation regulations and company policies
  • Identifying opportunities for cost savings and process improvements within the logistics function
  • Reviewing logistics invoices for accuracy
  • Providing project managers with required information and updates on timely basis and keeping supervisor apprised as to progress of the work
  • Ensuring the appropriate paperwork for logistics activities remains on schedule and in compliance with Haskell contract requirements
  • Reviewing documents to ensure they are of good appearance, accuracy, clarity and correctness, adhering to team and client's standards
  • Completing analysis and/or calculations as required
  • Assisting in project team in coordination of all client correspondence and proper notice is provided to the other entities when information is due to the project team
  • Travel as required
  • Other duties which may be assigned as needed

  • Proficiency in logistics software and Microsoft Office applications
  • Knowledge of transportation regulations and compliance standards domestically and internationally

Education/Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree required and 3-5 years of experience in logistics or supply chain preferred, or a combination of education and experience

Environmental Factors and/or Physical Requirements:

While performing the duties of this job, this position is required to have ordinary ambulatory skills sufficient to visit other locations; and the ability to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, and manipulate (lift, carry, move) light to medium weights of 10-50 pounds. Requires good hand-eye coordination, and arm, hand and finger dexterity, including the ability to grasp, and visual acuity to use a keyboard, operate equipment and read application/form information. The associate frequently is required to sit, reach with hands and arms, talk, and hear.
