Mechanical Supervisor

Amalgamated Sugar Company is seeking a Mechanical Supervisor to coordinate and supervise the execution and Quality Control of precision maintenance crews to maintain operations and the upkeep of building, grounds, and equipment. This is an exempt, salary position that reports to the Assistant Maintenance Manager.
Successful candidates must have sufficient knowledge and experience of factory processing equipment to effectively supervise the operations and maintenance of the factory and equipment. They will provide direct supervision to mechanical, electrical, instrumentation, Boiler operators and operations and other assigned crews. This position is responsible for training and maintaining an efficient crew, coordinating, and executing work activities with the Planning and Scheduling team, provide direction for establishing proper job procedures, and enforcing the company safety policies and practices.
This person will be responsible for crew personnel safety and the communication of safety throughout the factory. This person will resolve issues with outside agencies (fire, police, contractors, utilities, etc.). This person will be responsible that their crew has the proper training, certifications, and equipment licensing necessary for the maintenance activities of the facility.
This position is also responsible for preparing, maintaining, and adhering to accurate budgets for assigned maintenance accounts, the overall condition of those accounts as well as developing and managing extra- ordinary budgets and proper account allocations.

Additional Responsibilities:
· Leading and/or participating in incident investigations-Excellent interpersonal communication skills with key stakeholders
· Ensure PM work orders are Completed as scheduled for compliance with company standards and PM call schedule
· Work with Planning/Scheduling Supervisor to ensure plans meet identified deficiency’s needs
· Manages all execution aspects of the maintenance schedule for factory equipment
· Other responsibilities as assigned
Qualifications:
· High school diploma
-Valid driver's license
· Minimum of 5 plus years maintenance experience in an industrial manufacturing plant or
refinery
· OR any equivalent combination of experience and training which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities
