In pursuit of this mission, we are hiring a Technology Support Technician. A Technology Support Technician plays a crucial role in keeping the digital world running smoothly. They troubleshoot and resolve technical issues, ensuring that computers, networks, and systems operate efficiently. With their expertise, they empower users to leverage technology effectively, enhancing productivity and innovation. Minimum Qualifications

    • Minimum associate degree in a Technical Field OR certifications like CompTIA A+, Microsoft Certified Solutions Expert (MCSE), etc
    • Minimum 1-3 years of IT experience
    • Strong customer service skills to assist and support users with patience and empathy, ensuring a positive user experience.
    • A valid Michigan driver's license and reliable transportation are necessary.
    • Alignment with Lansing School District's mission and values
Preferred Qualifications
    • Bachelor (4-year) degree, with a technical major (Preferred)
    • Four to six years IT experience including, but not limited to:
    • Windows 10/11 Support
    • Help Desk Support
    • Printer Support
    • Remote Desktop Tools
    • Ticketing Software
Job Responsibilities
    • Identify and resolve hardware, software, and network issues for end-users, ensuring minimal downtime and disruption.
    • Set up new computer systems, software applications, and peripheral devices, ensuring they are configured correctly and meet user requirements.
    • Provide technical support to users via phone, email, or in-person, guiding them through problem resolution and answering their technical questions.
    • Perform regular maintenance tasks such as software updates, security patches, and backups to ensure systems are up-to-date and secure.
    • Create and maintain detailed records of technical issues, solutions, and procedures to aid in future troubleshooting and knowledge sharing.
    • Work closely with other IT professionals to address complex issues, implement new technologies, and improve overall IT infrastructure.
    • Learn and grow by incorporating feedback from colleagues, managers, and professional development sessions
    • Build relationships with colleagues and other stakeholders to ensure a safe, welcoming, and collaborative work environment
    • Other duties as assigned to best support the Lansing School District mission

$46,606 - $86,099 a year
