Are you passionate about animals and want to make a real difference in their lives? Anderson Humane’s Bloomingdale adoption center is looking for compassionate Adoption and Resource Consultants who can help our adorable animals find their forever homes.

What you’ll be doing

  • Ensuring animal spaces are clean and that our animals are thriving both mentally and physically.
  • Being the friendly face that greets visitors and assists them in finding their new family member.
  • Using a variety of computer programs to gather the info you need to provide superior service and process animal adoptions.
  • Staying up-to-date and spreading the word about our incredible programs and events.
  • Maintaining a welcoming environment for both animals and visitors.

What to expect

  • A lively environment with animals of all sizes and characters!
  • The need for safety awareness, we do work with animals after all.
  • A mix of indoor and outdoor activities, including playing with the animals (we call this “enrichment”).
  • Staying active: walking, standing, and occasional lifting (up to 40 pounds with help).
  • Making memories with happy families and witnessing countless joyous moments!

Do you have what it takes?

  • At least a year of professional customer service experience.
  • Strong communication skills that showcase warmth and inclusivity.
  • Are highly comfortable learning new software programs.
  • Professionalism even in high-emotion situations.
  • A natural ability to juggle tasks and prioritize.
