Pebbles is looking for an exceptional Area Manager to lead a team of Registered Managers overseeing residential child care homes in North West England. This is a fantastic opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of children and families.

The role and responsibilities of an Area Manager

This role is ideal for an experienced Area Manager or Registered Manager looking to advance their career.

Your responsibilities will include leading the way as a ‘responsible individual’ on business change and improvement. You will ensure each home has full occupancy and a set of company-specific objectives while supporting your team in understanding the financial and commercial aspects of the company.

You will oversee and manage all Registered Managers in the region and provide support, coaching and development opportunities to ensure we build a strong and knowledgeable team.

This will be a hybrid role, with the employee working from home at times and attending regular home visits and senior management meetings.

  • Salary is £56,495 per annum, pro rata.
  • Your hours of work are 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday.

Essential qualities that we look for,

  • Previous and recent experience in managing children's residential services.
  • Qualified to Level 3 in residential childcare and Level 5 Leadership and Management.
  • Highly responsible and accountable when it comes to Safeguarding children and young people.
  • Leadership and management skills with the ability to motivate others.
  • Commercial awareness and financial management skills.
  • Interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build strong relationships.
  • IT skills, experienced in using Microsoft packages.
  • A current full UK driver's license and full access to a vehicle.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Desirable qualities that we look for.

  • Previous experience as an Area Manager in a similar role.
  • Knowledge and previous experience in promoting Therapeutic Parenting in the context of young people.
