Chemical Plant Loader
Location: SkyMine Plant - 11503 Bulverde Rd. San Antonio, TX 78217
CarbonFree is looking for a Chemical Plant Loader to support our company as it grows. This role will report directly to one of our Shift Supervisors.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
• Work in a SAFE and efficient manner in all tasks
• Primary functions of the loader position are trans-loading of bi-carb railcars, railyard railcar movements, truck tanker and railcar loading
• Monitor, operate and control equipment and systems to ensure that all are functioning and to maintain maximum efficiency
• Perform basic maintenance related tasks
• Initiate work request for required maintenance of equipment and processes
• Prepare equipment for maintenance
• Notify Supervisor of equipment malfunctions
• Record test results and other data pertaining to the plant's operation
• Other duties assigned
Education and Experience:
• High School diploma or completed GED
• Previous industrial manufacturing experience is a plus
• Proficiency in math, reading comprehension, and mechanical reasoning with strong troubleshooting and problem solving skills
• Basic PC skills required and experience with a distributed control system (DCS) is a plus
• Ability to work a compressed shift
• Ability to read, write and speak English
• Excellent interpersonal skills
• Physical requirements: Must be able to climb stairs, lift 40 pounds. Bending, stooping and walking is required
• Ability to work a 12-hr rotating shift and work overtime
