We’re seeking a future team member for the role of Vice President, Trading I to join our Wealth Management team. This role is located in Boston, MA.

In this role, you’ll make an impact in the following ways: 

  • Provides assistance to the trading desk with client order execution. 
  • Liaises with support full allocation, settles issues on the life cycle of the trade. 
  • Facilitates orders for internal departments. 
  • Provides initial recommendations on the pricing of securities. 
  • May execute smaller or less complex trades and determine appropriate prices for transactions. 
  • Assists in the trading and management of a book of business. 
  • Functions independently with delegated responsibilities from more senior traders, which includes the pricing of securities and management of capital risk to maximize returns.
  • Executes all correspondence requisites with a good understanding of the underlying business and specific client needs.
  • Tracks trades and correct trade problems. Ensure all items are cleared up on a routine basis.
  • Conducts problem analysis and identify opportunities for process improvement.
  • Provides product knowledge and technical assistance as necessary and works with third party vendors to conduct research that compares BNY to peers to provide data on pricing and trading strategies.
  • Handles client inquires and run reports as necessary.
     

To be successful in this role, we’re seeking the following: 

  • Bachelor’s degree or the equivalent combination of education and experience is required.
  • 3-5 years of total work experience preferred. 
  • Experience in trading or brokerage preferred. 
  • Applicable local/regional licenses or certifications as required by the business.
