Director – Pharmacometrics, Quantitative Pharmacology and Pharmacometrics
The Quantitative Pharmacology and Pharmacometrics (QP2) department drives model-informed drug discovery and development (MIDD) to enable efficient drug discovery/development and regulatory decisions. The Pharmacometrics group within QP2 provides leadership, modeling expertise, and state-of-the-art approaches across therapeutic areas and modalities. The Director will lead and mentor a team of pharmacometricians to impact the pipeline.
The Director-Pharmacometrics will proactively evaluate and incorporate advanced pharmacometrics capabilities like comparator modeling, model-based meta-analysis (MBMA), and clinical trial simulations (CTS) to strengthen pharmacometric capabilities and drive pipeline impact. They will independently develop and deploy comparator models and mentor talented pharmacometricians.

- Drive the development and implementation of novel quantitative approaches to improve cycle time, cost, clinical trial design, and decision-making
- Act as a subject matter expert, collaborating within QP2 and across functions for informed decision-making
- Mentor and supervise junior colleagues to develop capabilities
- Provide day-to-day coaching and guidance in pharmacometrics across therapeutic areas
Required Experience:
- Ph.D. with 7 years, PharmD with 9 years, or MS with 11 years of experience in pharmaceutical drug development or academia
- Educational background in pharmacometrics, pharmaceutical sciences, mathematics, statistics, or related field
- Extensive experience in MBMA and CTS using standard software like NONMEM, R, Monolix
- Deep expertise in pharmacometrics and understanding of MIDD impact on decisions
- Knowledge of drug development, pharmacokinetics, and pharmacology
