Accounts Payable is an essential building block in our organization’s continued growth. We want someone with a penchant for accuracy, process improvement, and automation. Do you enjoy customer interaction? This role works closely with vendors by phone and email regularly. Still reading? This position is a blend of transactional and entry-level accounts payable. This role has the potential to evolve into a tenant facing accounting role in order to give the candidate a well-rounded experience.

Here are the deets:

1. Enter invoices into proper entity and code invoices to GL account.
2. Ensure cash payments are made timely and maintain cash balances.
3. Approve monthly recurring invoices and prioritize with each check run.
4. Address and resolve A/P discrepancies and follow up as necessary.
5. Process payments weekly and ensure positive pay exceptions are completed daily (e.g., corporate credit cards).
6. Direct contact with vendors, as needed to answer questions.
7. Special projects.

Requirements

The experience you bring

1. Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, business, or related field.
2. Yardi experience – a plus!
3. 2 years’ experience preferred, but not required if you're passionate about counting beans in commercial real estate!
4. Customer experience
5. Proficient in excel
