Overview:
We are seeking a Mid-Level Electrical Engineer in Walnut Creek, CA. This role involves working on various projects related to municipal water and wastewater treatment plants. Responsibilities:
- Execute detailed electrical power systems designs for water and wastewater treatment facilities under the guidance of a Senior Level Electrical Engineer.
- Perform load calculations, detailed conduit routing, design motor control centers and switchgears, and develop specifications.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering.
- 6 to 12 years of experience in Electrical Engineering.
- Professional Engineer (PE) registration.
- Proficiency in power system applications, including calculating available short circuit current, voltage drop, harmonic distortion, and power factor.
- Hands-on experience in field investigations and startup procedures.
- Strong understanding of NEC, NFPA 820, and NESC.
- Familiarity with the IEEE color book series.
- Proficiency in MS Word and Excel.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Highly motivated, articulate, and self-starting.
- Ability to positively engage with clients.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering.
