About the job:
- Administer routine daily medications, both prescription and non-prescription, to patients.
- Collaborate with various nurses to support patient care and medication management.
- Follow written and verbal instructions for medication administration.
- Record medication dosages and times accurately.
- Monitor patients and document any changes in their condition.
- Collect samples for analysis.
- Ensure that equipment is regularly inspected and cleaned.
- Maintain all health and safety standards.
- Respond promptly to patient emergency call signals, bells, or intercoms to assess patient needs.
Qualifications:
- CMA certification (AAMA, AMT, or NCCT)
- CPR certified
General Purpose: A Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) supports physicians and other healthcare professionals in clinical and administrative tasks. CMAs perform clinical duties such as taking vital signs, preparing patients for exams, collecting lab specimens, administering injections, and updating medical records. They also handle various administrative duties, including scheduling appointments and managing patient records.
