The Bartender needs to be knowledgeable of their product and a resource for all staff members in selling product, the Bartender team is required to be the most knowledgeable resource on all beverage menu items: Wines, cocktails, spirits, and beer. The bartender team will be the cornerstone to anchoring FORTH Atlanta, dining experience.
Responsibilities:

  • Meticulously set up the bar, ensuring product preparation exceeds guest covers by 5% to anticipate demand.
  • Extend a warm welcome to all guests approaching the bar, maintaining attentive service even during quieter hours.
  • Provide clear guidance and expectations to barbacks, fostering a culture of excellence and teamwork for the shift.
  • Incorporate staff education into daily lineup meetings, enriching team knowledge and enhancing guest experiences.
  • Deliver exceptional full-service experiences to bar guests, adhering to established service standards synonymous with our luxury dining experience.
  • Efficiently manage service, striving for a maximum 4-minute ticket time and ensuring smooth flow of orders.
  • Take ownership of maintaining impeccably polished glassware rotation, ensuring guests receive drinks in pristine vessels.
  • Handle cash transactions and guest tabs with precision and professionalism, maintaining accuracy and accountability.
  • Maintain a meticulously clean and well-organized bar, prioritizing older stock before utilizing fresh products to ensure optimal quality.
  • Uphold cleanliness standards in all service areas, ensuring a visually appealing environment that reflects our commitment to luxury.
  • Utilize downtime to complete assigned cleaning duties outlined in the weekly schedule, maintaining a pristine bar environment.
  • Prior to shift change, diligently restock inventory to ensure seamless transition for the next team member.
  • At the end of each night, meticulously perform closing duties to ensure the bar is left in impeccable condition.
  • Demonstrate a strong, upbeat, and positive personality, embodying our commitment to exceptional hospitality.
  • Exhibit an unwavering commitment to high standards and attention to detail, ensuring every guest experience exceeds expectations.

Required Experience:
  • Previous experience in a high-volume restaurant setting
  • Previous experience as a Bartender in a luxury hotel, upscale restaurant, or cocktail lounge preferred.
  • Extensive knowledge of mixology, cocktail preparation, and beverage service techniques.
  • Exceptional customer service skills, with the ability to engage and interact with guests in a professional and personable manner.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • Attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness, organization, and professionalism.
  • Flexibility to work varying shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, as required by the demands of the business.
  • Certification in responsible alcohol service (e.g., TIPS certification) preferred.
Working Conditions/Environment
  • The person having this position may have to stand and/or walk, push, kneel, bend, balance, squat, reach and stretch for eight (8) hours per day.
  • Agility in executing fast-paced movements to navigate different areas of the property efficiently.
  • The person having this responsibility may have to move, pull, carry, or lift objects weighing at least 50 pounds.
