Job Title: Hospital Readiness Systems Coordinator
Location: Indianapolis, IN
Responsibilities:

1. Develop, implement, and maintain hospital readiness and emergency response plans, ensuring the hospital is prepared to manage a wide range of emergencies, including natural disasters, mass casualty events, and public health crises.
2. Coordinate training programs and simulation exercises for hospital staff to improve preparedness and response capabilities, ensuring all personnel are familiar with emergency procedures and protocols.
3. Collaborate with local, state, and federal agencies, as well as other healthcare facilities, to ensure seamless communication and coordination during emergencies or disaster situations.
4. Monitor and assess the hospital's emergency systems, including equipment, supplies, and communication technologies, to ensure they are functional and ready for immediate deployment during an emergency.
5. Maintain and update readiness databases and documentation, ensuring that all emergency response plans, inventory, and contact information are current and accessible.
6. Lead hospital-wide drills and exercises to test readiness and identify areas for improvement, providing detailed after-action reports and recommendations to hospital leadership.

Minimum Qualifications:

1. Bachelor's degree in Emergency Management, Healthcare Administration, Public Health, or a related field.
2. Minimum of 3 years of experience in emergency preparedness, hospital readiness, or disaster management, preferably in a healthcare setting.
3. Strong understanding of hospital operations, emergency response protocols, and regulatory requirements related to healthcare readiness and disaster preparedness.
4. Excellent organizational and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple initiatives and priorities under pressure.
5. Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with hospital staff, external agencies, and leadership teams.
6. Certification in Hospital Emergency Response or Incident Command System (ICS) training is preferred.
