RN OR Educator - Bronx NY

A healthcare services network in New York City is currently seeking a licensed Registered Nurse (RN) to join their team as an Operating Room Educator.
Responsibilities:
The Operating Room Educator (RN) will:

• Periodically monitor employee's performance relative to patient care and nursing practice
• Communicate patient care and service related problems on the tour to appropriate individuals timely; assist in corrective actions/follow-up
• Evaluate staffing plan and ensures that staffing is adequate to meet patient care needs
• Develop mechanisms that improves continuous feedback relative to the current status of patient care/nursing practice issues in order to comply with hospital policy/procedure, regulatory agency mandates and standards
• Develop, prepare and monitor the personnel, supply and equipment budgets in collaboration with the staff and support Department Directors
• Develop measures and monitor unit operational performance metrics inclusive of LOS, agency and overtime costs, vacancy and turnover rates
• Actively evaluate the delivery of nursing are nursing unit through direct observation of staff in the delivery of nursing care
• Perform other duties, as needed

• 4+ years of Nursing experience with at least 3 years of experience in a Supervisory and/or Teaching role
• Bachelor's and/or Master's Degree in Nursing Administration, Education, Clinical Specialty and/or a related field
• NYS Registered Nurse (RN) license
