Role :

The Director of the Abbie DeLoach Foundation plays a critical role as a liaison between the family of Abbie DeLoach and the surrounding communities which the foundation was created to serve.

Responsibilities :

• Part-time position.

• Knowledge of the mission of the organization and responsible for keeping the organization aligned with the three pillars, nursing, service, and athletics.

• Actively represent the Abbie DeLoach Foundation in the community and the organizations to which we donate.

• Coordinate with community partners to select annual scholarship class.

• Plan and execute successful Annual Scholarship Luncheon.

• Coordinate with Director of Social Media to:

o Increase Foundation's visibility;

o Promote Foundation's philanthropy;

o Connect with relevant for-profit and non-profit groups/organizations and

prominent community individuals;

o Increase giving/donations.

• Coordinate with leadership and community partners to maintain and update the foundation's monthly academic calendar timeline, deliverables, and deadlines.

• Coordinate with leadership on website content updates.

• Manage the planning of the True Blue 5K/Abbie's Adventure Race with community partners.

• Plan and oversee the Hands-Free for Abbie Campaign for safe driving awareness month.

• Maintain daily emails.

• Conduct weekly meetings with leadership.

Qualifications :

• Deep commitment to the mission.

• Outstanding written and oral communication skills.

• Strong computer skills and proficiency with Google Drive to include Word, Excel, and

PowerPoint.

• Strong organizational skills and leadership.

• Able to work part-time flexible schedule and prioritize multiple projects at once.

The Abbie DeLoach Foundation was founded by Jimmy DeLoach in memory of his daughter, Abbie, who lost her life in a tragic highway crash in 2015. Four of her fellow Georgia Southern nursing students lost their lives as well. This foundation's mission is to continue Abbie's legacy of selfless service to others, generosity, academic and athletic achievement and compassion for all. To date, the foundation has awarded 127 individuals over $1.47 million in scholarships.
