Our client, a software company is seeking a strong Accountant to join their team. As an Accountant, you will be part of the accounting and finance department supporting revenue reconciliation project. The ideal candidate will have effective communication, be detail-oriented, and strong expertise in excel which will align successfully in the organization.
Job Title: Reconciliation Accountant
Location: Remote
Pay Range: 55-65/hour
What's the Job?
- Reconcile large, unreconciled balances in deferred revenue and unbilled receivables accounts.
- Track and document offsetting entries at the project level.
- Perform detailed analysis and reconciliation of ending balances provided by the other operating company (OpCo) prior to system integration.
- Investigate and resolve discrepancies, potentially writing off unresolvable balances.
- Maintain accurate and detailed documentation of reconciliation processes and findings.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure accurate revenue recognition in compliance with accounting standards.
- Utilize NetSuite ERP for financial management, Financial Force for accounting operations, and Salesforce for order entry and invoice generation.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting, with a focus on reconciliation and revenue recognition.
- Strong experience with Percentage of Completion Accounting
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including advanced functions and data analysis tools.
- Experience with NetSuite ERP, Financial Force, and Salesforce.
- Strong understanding of software as a subscription (SaaS) revenue recognition principles.
- CPA preferred
- Construction or Manufacturing experience preferred
