SBM Management is searching for a Vice President, Information Technology to join our team! The Vice President of Information Technology for SBM will be responsible for leading a team of Enterprise Technology professionals and evangelists. This position will help plan, motivate, and deliver optimal results in Leading IT as a Business. Through an Executive-level combination of sterling communications skills, technical expertise, and demonstrated business-centric acumen, the VP of IT will lead a diverse team of internal and external IT professionals including areas such as Service Desk, Infrastructure/Cloud Operations, Information Security, and IT Budget Accountability. This is a senior-level leadership role and the successful candidate will exude a blend of technical and business strategic expertise along with the ability to execute very effectively at detailed levels.

Responsibilities

  1. Senior Technology Executive responsible for leadership, direction, development, and allocation of resources of many Enterprise IT areas including ERP, Infrastructure, Information Security, Cloud Ops, and IT Vendor & Financial Mgmt.

  5. Develop multi-year strategic, architectural, and operational plans to achieve business goals, provide agile and scalable solutions, and manage teams to ensure progress toward goals.
  6. Define and implement national infrastructure strategy to meet rapidly expanding market needs.
  7. Participate in the formulation of the company’s enterprise architecture and business systems’ plans serving as the Infrastructure subject matter expert; assessing cost and feasibility and ensuring the plan is aligned with and supports the strategic goals of SBM.
  8. Provide overall leadership and direction to establish and manage proactive performance management strategy encompassing capacity planning, enterprise monitoring, effective change management, analysis for root cause identification, and timely issue resolution.
  9. Perform research, stay up-to-date, and make recommendations regarding new technologies, industry trends, infrastructure best practices, tools and techniques (virtual, cloud computing, strategic sourcing, etc.) that would drive business value.
  10. Overall leadership, direction, and project management to ensure cost-effective design, development, engineering, integration, implementation, testing, and maintenance of new computing architecture systems in support of business objectives and requirements.
  11. Identify, define, measure, and improve key IT operational processes using ITIL and other appropriate best practice benchmarks to improve operational and service delivery effectiveness and efficiency.
  12. Negotiate IT related contracts to ensure cost-effective agreements are achieved, SBM’s interests are protected and business value is added; collaborate with other organizational personnel as needed.
  13. Establish strategic relationships with key vendors to drive business value, streamline processes, improve service delivery, and reduce costs.
  14. Work in a fast-paced environment with the ability to adapt and change priorities as the business needs change.
  15. Drive culture of continuous improvement to improve quality, efficiencies, and standards across our IT infrastructure & services.
  16. Work closely with IT security, compliance and privacy to set standards, operational processes, and policies.
  17. Perform any other job-related instructions, as requested.

Qualifications

  1. Bachelor’s degree in business, communications, or a related field from a four-year college or university; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  2. Minimum of twelve (12) years of progressive IT management experience, preferably in a Fortune 500 level organization with demonstrated ability to lead during phases of high growth.
  3. Experience in assessing new opportunities and performing necessary due-diligence around technical, operational, and financial impacts.
  4. Experience in a 24/7 production, high consumer-traffic web environment, including web hosting, voice and data networks, security and information protection, and with load balancing implementations and high-availability networks.
  5. Experience implementing private, public and hybrid cloud strategies such as IAAS, PAAS, SAAS that optimize business goals with costs.
  6. Experience in driving and executing strategic solutions, outlining roadmaps while managing the tactical pieces of business.
  7. Proven experience in strong project management, change management, and analytical skills with a process-oriented approach.
  8. May be required to have a valid driver’s license.
  9. Demonstrated competence in operational leadership with strong abilities in relationship management and prioritizing initiatives/opportunities based on investments and financial returns.
  10. Demonstrated deep understanding of technology across platforms and vendors; providing viable options for end-to-end integrated infrastructure solutions including 3rd party products/services.
  11. Demonstrated ability and strong knowledge of PII, PCI, SOC and other regulatory compliance issues in Infrastructure as well as best practices.
  12. Demonstrated ability and proven record of success leading & mentoring teams and managing a secure, reliable, and stable IT Infrastructure with distributed computing platforms.
  13. Proven ability to demonstrate attention to detail as needed to drive progress.
  14. Proven leadership ability.

Compensation: $200,000 - $250,000 per year

Shift: Full Time
