At Amazon Web Services (AWS), we are helping the federal government build ML and DL models on the AWS Cloud. We are applying predictive technology to large volumes of data and against a wide spectrum of problems. Our Professional Services organization works together with our AWS customers to address their business needs using AI.

In this role, you will be able to dive deep into data, discovering root causes, and designing long-term solutions. It will be a person who likes to have fun, loves to learn, and wants to innovate in the world of AI.

Key job responsibilities

  1. Understand the customer’s business need and guide them to a solution using our AWS AI Services, AWS AI Platforms, AWS AI Frameworks, and AWS AI EC2 Instances.
  2. Assist customers by delivering a ML / DL project from beginning to end, including understanding the business need, aggregating data, exploring data, building & validating predictive models, and deploying completed models to deliver business impact to the organization.
  3. Use Deep Learning frameworks like MXNet, Caffe 2, Tensorflow, Theano, CNTK, and Keras to help our customers build DL models.
  4. Use SparkML and Amazon Machine Learning (AML) to help our customers build ML models.
  5. Work with our Professional Services Big Data consultants to analyze, extract, normalize, and label relevant data.
  6. Work with our Professional Services DevOps consultants to help our customers operationalize models after they are built.
  7. Assist customers with identifying model drift and retraining models.
  8. Research and implement novel ML and DL approaches, including using FPGA.

Minimum Requirements

  1. 5 years experience in providing IT services.
  2. 3+ years of experience in machine learning, proficient in machine learning algorithms, model training, and deployment.
  3. Excellent oral communication skills, able to present fluently to customers in both Chinese and English.
  4. Holding AWS or other cloud certifications.
  5. Proven ability to lead AI-related technical work and collaborate effectively with other data scientists in a team environment.
  6. Experience in supporting pre-sales activities by presenting compelling AI/ML use cases and successful implementation stories to potential customers.
  7. Demonstrated experience working in a larger, diverse group with overseas team members, exhibiting strong cross-cultural communication and collaboration skills.
  8. Published technical papers or articles in reputable journals or conferences, showcasing subject matter expertise and thought leadership in AI/ML domains.
