Job Description
Be a part of a world-class academic healthcare system, UChicago Medicine , as a Supply Chain Systems Manager at our Hyde Park Location . This position will be primarily a work from home opportunity with the requirement to come onsite as needed. You may be based outside of the greater Chicagoland area.
This technology position applies high leadership skills, system technology expertise, analytical problem-solving skills, and process improvement skills to recommend, implement, manage, and improve the Supply Chain quote to pay, inventory management, business analytics, and technologies. This is a hands-on team-oriented role that requires a high degree of cross-department collaboration, coordination, and project management.
Essential Job Functions
- Skilled and experienced with any or all of the following operating systems: Solaris, AIX, Digital UNIX, Novell, Microsoft NT/2000/2003/2008, and Apple OS X server.
- Skilled and experienced with any or all of the following: UNIX-based operating system; Windows-based operating systems; writing scripts in some administrative language (C, C++, Visual Basic, SMS Scripting and Packaging, etc).
- Excellent qualitative analysis, problem-solving, and project management skills.
- Strong communication skills including delivering formal presentations.
- Demonstrated ability to analyze and interpret data, create complex reports, and prepare presentations.
- Demonstrated ability to manage own time and work tasks as well as those of the work team.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Supply Chain Management or related field required. Master’s strongly preferred.
- Skilled and experienced with any or all of the following hardware: Sun, IBM, HP/Compaq, Tandem, Apple or Windows Servers required.
- Detailed understanding of networking/distributed computing environment concepts required.
- Requires advanced knowledge and application experience with business information systems.
Preferred Qualifications
- Two or more years of programming experience preferred.
- Prefer Green Belt Six Sigma certification at minimum.
