If yes, how you will contribute to the team:
As the Director of Business Development , you will plan, develop, organize, implement, evaluate, and direct the facility's marketing and public relations programs and activities in order to maintain and increase resident census. You will provide the community with information relative to our facility, its programs, services, practices, promote the facility and its services to outside sources such as physicians, discharge planners, business members of the community, churches and schools providing adult education.
Our Business Development Directors maintain a thorough knowledge of facility's admission requirements, services and programs, and admissions policies and procedures. You will work with the facility team to conduct tours for members of the community as well as families, conducts pre-admission interviews with prospective resident/guarantors and explains all services of the nursing facility.
Must haves:
- Thorough knowledge of principles of effective communication, mass media, advertising, community relations, etc., as they relate to nursing facility operations
- Ability to make direct sales calls, and to organize and deliver public presentations
- Ability to establish, implement and maintain effective marketing and public relations program
- Thorough understanding of healthcare reimbursement programs
- Must be knowledgeable of nursing practices, procedures, terminology, laws, regulations, and guidelines that pertain to long-term care
- Ability to form relationships with community healthcare partners
- Must be familiar with local hospitals and State's healthcare system
- Must be located in the Seattle area
- 2-4 years’ experience in marketing/public relations in health care or skilled nursing facility with previous supervisory experience
- Bachelor’s degree from accredited college with specialization in marketing, communications or equivalent
