INTRODUCTIONThis position will load and unload products for the die cut operators, operate a machine to separate pages, and assist in cutting product to customer specifications.KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESReads work orders to determine setup specifications and instructions.Starts machines and loads uncut product onto page separator and assisting as neededObserves and monitors machine operations to detect malfunctions and to determine whether adjustments are neededUnloads cut product, neatly stacking on palletMaintains records of daily production, using specified formsRecords production sheet information such as amount of time spent on specific tasksPerforms other job duties as assignedQUALIFICATIONSPrior manufacturing experience preferredMechanical aptitude requiredIntermediate math skills requiredDemonstrated accuracy, reliability, decision making, time management and self-motivationGood attendance requiredMust be able to work overtime as needed; significant overtime may be required during busy periodsMust be able to perform all essential functions of this job with or without reasonable accommodationEDUCATIONHigh school diploma preferredPHYSICAL DEMANDSEmployee must be able to talk, see, and hearSmurfit Westrock (NYSE:SW) is a global leader in sustainable paper and packaging solutions.
