Construction Estimator

The Axel Group is seeking a Construction Estimator to join their client's team based out of Chantilly, VA. This client is a national homebuilder with competitive base salaries, great medical benefits, and extensive opportunities for growth!

Requirements

• Ability to accurately read and understand construction documents is a must
• Manage base house, elevation, and option takeoffs as they relate to each other
• Identify impactful specification changes as they affect completed takeoffs
• Develop appropriate spreadsheets to record data and extend pricing
• Review and validate takeoffs for accuracy at both an administrative and as-built level

Education/Experience

• Bachelor’s degree or 2+ years of estimating experience
• Comfortable working with software as an integral part of this role
• Must be proficient in Microsoft Excel
• Previous experience in software such as Planswift, AutoCAD, and Simpson Pipeline
