The IT SAP SD Application Analyst acts as an internal consultant for Ardagh Group’s ERP systems (SAP and sub-systems). This role is focused on configuring, documenting, and creating solutions within sales and distribution.
Responsibilities:
- Create and document defined solutions to business requirements into IT specifications.
- Complete configuration of designed SAP SD solutions.
- Provide understanding of SAP ERP SD functionality and integration.
- Communicate business process knowledge within Sales and Distribution.
- Proactively progress project or support requests according to SLA to include configuration of solution in SAP SD module.
- Focus areas include: Sales, Delivery, Billing, Billing Plan, Rebates, Pricing, Credit Management, Shipping and Transportation, and Logistics Execution.
- Liase as the main contact for the functional business units and their process owners for relevant topics such as application support, change requests, enhancement and new process requirements.
- Understand complex business processes and serve as subject matter experts.
- Work proactively on continuous improvement processes for ERP system usage and functions.
- Lead and assist projects of various sizes, containing internal as well as external team members.
- Work with and guide external consultants in support cases and projects while ensuring best cost value for Ardagh Group.
- Align with other IT applications to integrate business and process functions into the ERP systems, providing interoperability between multiple IT systems.
- Create and execute test scenarios to ensure quality of deliverables.
- Coordinate cross team integration activities.
- Monitor and control outsourced application support services in cooperation with the ERP AMS team.
Minimum skills / qualifications:
- High School Diploma or Equivalent.
- Ten (10) years of experience within SAP SD.
- Excellent understanding of Integration with other SAP areas such as Production Planning, Materials Management, Warehouse Management, Logistics Execution, and FI/CO.
- Experience in working in a highly customized SAP Environment with good debugging skills.
- Knowledge of other non-SAP ERP applications, e.g. SAP integrated systems.
- Proven understanding and knowledge of interfaces, IDOCs, and EDI integration.
Preferred skills / qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in IT, business or other relevant fields.
- SAP SD certifications.
- ITIL experience.
- Knowledge of SAP-Transportation Management and or integration with other Transportation service providers is an advantage.
- Previous experience in an international company as a project lead.
