Job Summary

We are seeking a driven, career minded leader looking to maximize their skills within the emerging & exciting cannabis industry. The ideal candidate is a proven manager of creative projects and personnel. This position requires strong communication skills and social awareness with great attention to detail. The role requires the ability to lead a small team of creative designers and vendors in timely, accurate, and organized fashion. A self-starter and multi-disciplined professional, this person will be responsible for developing and driving marketing plans, processes, and strategy execution. This person will ensure strong brand execution through consistent follow-through and retail interactions with third-party, strategic retail partners.

The Marketing Manager will work with various areas of the business, gathering the various business needs while ensuring alignment with the Company's brand vision and execution strategy. This person will oversee the design team in the creation of marketing assets and brand concepts to deliver high-quality materials. This role will ensure the marketing team's execution of visual strategy and intent delivering through multiple marketing channels in a fast-paced environment. This individual will be responsible for overseeing brand standards, while establishing organizational processes for cataloging and management of creative files.

Creative design ability is a plus, but this role will serve more as a creative facilitator that understands, plans, communicates, and executes design fundamentals and brand execution. Leadership experience and strong communication skills are imperative in this role, with an ability to motivate the team and keep different stakeholders informed and aligned. Elevation of brand presence on social media channels in a creative fashion with meaningful content is a core function. Other responsibilities include miscellaneous design projects, product packaging design, sales tactics, and digital web support. Role will need to be familiar with DCC marketing and advertising rules and guidance to ensure a compliant approach. This role will report to the Chief Retail Marketing Officer and work closely with Company leadership, retail, and sales team.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Lead and drive design team and ensure brand elevation and clarity around brand messaging to drive sales growth and value of brand.
  • Maintain market awareness across the state and nation to ensure our brand is at the forefront of our market.
  • Oversee digital design work and coordinate updates and maintenance of website with preferred insight into SEO & UX, in coordination with CRMO/CEO.
  • Establish, oversee, and enforce Brand Standard Guidelines to ensure all materials are consistent to stylistic standards and all files cataloged in systematic format.
  • Responsible for maintaining accurate calendars and team calibration in prioritization and execution of projects and campaigns in support of CRMO.
  • Advise on strategic brand planning and drive brand equity and growth.
  • Responsible for Project management from concept to implementation release.
    • Establish Cadence, reviews, and routing processes in maintaining project calendars and communications.
    • Manage timing expectations and facilitation to execute against agreed timing and expectations.
    • Ensure team is efficient and aware of all processes and communications for alignment.
  • Demonstrate flexibility, utility, and aptitude to grow our marketing touchpoints and brand value, while driving meaningful content and inspiration within our customers to create unmatched loyalty.
  • Drive the creation and management of marketing collateral across all channels.
    • Lead design and management of all social media platforms creating real time content to drive brand growth across platforms.
    • Accountable for ensuring accurate, timely, and efficient execution of campaigns, tactics, and platforms.
    • Responsible for driving all creative design and stewardship related to branding, packaging, and messaging, under the guidance of CRMO.
    • Work with production vendors on the timely execution and procurement of collateral, while ensuring quality of finished product within a given budget and timing expectations.
  • Develop and consistently update customer facing pieces and product packaging designs.
    • Maintain awareness around existing external content to ensure accuracy and alignment.
  • Collaborate with Sales to drive a consistent message through events, collateral, and market presence.
  • Ensure retail brand standards and marketing campaigns meet expectations and are executed correctly working closely with retail leadership in support of CRMO.
  • Lead and drive campaign creation, planning, and execution with support of Sales & Planning divisions.
  • Familiarize and guide team regarding DCC Marketing & Advertising rules and regulations to ensure compliant execution.
  • Prepare for submission & maintain awareness of status around state approval process of tactics, templates, and applicable items facilitating state submission through CEO/CPO and Compliance team.

Qualifications

  • Experience with graphic design programs, including but not limited to Adobe Illustrator, InDesign, and Photoshop.
  • Professional degree and or applicable experience in related field.
  • Responsible professional who is punctual and disciplined.
  • Excellent oral and written communicator to effectively communicate with team around projects and product messaging.
  • Exceptional organizational skills, ability to meet deadlines, ability to catalog and recall brand pieces and assets while creating new efficiencies.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite applications including Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, & Excel.
  • Highly motivated, self-starter with a passion for learning and dedicated to quality.
  • At least 21 years of age

Physical Requirements

  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, sit; talk, hear, and use hands and fingers to operate a computer and keyboard.
  • Specific vision abilities required for this job include close vision requirements due to computer work.
  • Light to moderate lifting is required.
  • The ability to work in an office and manufacturing environment

This is a full-time position with variable hours required. Our facility is open from 6 am to 8 pm seven days a week. Candidates with weekend availability are required.
