The Data Architect/ETL Engineer will be responsible for managing data infrastructure by ensuring data is structured, stored, and used effectively to support the organization’s objectives.

The Data Architect will enable strategic, big-picture design thinking for the business and how it operates, while collaborating with business and technical counterparts to drive the delivery of systems that align with key business performance indicators.

The ideal candidate is passionate about delivering cutting-edge solutions to support the changing business needs and technology landscape. Data Architect requires a strong understanding of data principles and technologies, as well as the ability to translate business needs into data solutions.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities :

  • Lead the design, development, implementation, and maintenance of complex data systems and solutions.
  • Work with the company's leadership and stakeholders to understand the company's objectives and develop data strategies that support these goals.
  • Oversee the proper management and governance of the organization's data to ensure its accuracy, quality, and security to include defining roles, responsibilities, and processes for data management and establishing data governance frameworks.
  • Continuously evaluate new data technologies and trends, determining how they could improve the organization's data architecture and integration.
  • Identify and solve data-related problems, troubleshooting issues with the database systems, and making adjustments to improve performance.
  • Ensure the company's data management practices comply with relevant laws and standards.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.
  • Have knowledge of ETL tools like Matillion and help bring new data sources into the Datawarehouse.
  • Documentation of all the processes and implementations executed is a must.

Qualifications :

  • Organized with attention to detail.
  • Technical expertise regarding data models, database design, data mining, and segmentation techniques.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Experience with the latest cloud technologies - Snowflake, dbt, Matillion, Azure, AWS, Tableau, Power BI and natural language query/search tool usage. Matillion and Snowflake is a must have skill.
  • Experience working in a Dev Ops/Data Ops environment is a plus.
  • Excellent SQL skills.
  • Thorough understanding of information technology procedures and practices.
  • Proficient with, or able to quickly become proficient with, a range of general and specialized applications, software, and hardware used in the organization and the industry.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
  • Must be a nimble thinker who can be successful in a fast-changing environment.

Education/Experience :

Bachelor’s degree in computer science, IT, Computer Engineering, or related field + a minimum of 10+ years of related work experience to include data architect along with ETL development responsibilities.
