Vaco is in search of Remote Certified Medical Assistants to provide medical abstraction and indexing services. The ideal candidate will have experience working within a medical office as a CNA, CMA, LPN, or RN handling Electronic Medical Records (EMR).
Working hours are Monday-Friday 8:00-5:00pm
Remote training and working hours
Hybrid/Onsite for 1st day Orientation & Equipment pickup
Qualifications

Availability to work fulltime 40 hours per week.

Excellent computer and communication skills are a must.

The applicant must be self-motivated and have the ability to problem solve and work independently.

Needs to be flexible and able to effectively accommodate changes in business and account needs as they arise.
Experience Required

Medical documentation

EMR and Excel Preferred

Medical transcription; nursing; cardiology; multi-specialty; and billing and coding

Understand and exhibit a good faith effort to maintain confidentiality of patient information in compliance with HIPAA and HITECH policies

Log information abstracted from medical charts into a database management system for tracking and auditing purposes.

Collect; analyze; index and abstract clinical information from medical records obtained from a paper chart to an EHR system or from EHR to EHR.
