Job Summary
The US Hardware Solutions & Technology Insights team is dedicated to the integration, certification, and deployment of technology hardware in over 13,500 US restaurants.
The Manager Technology Deployment will be responsible for creating and managing the processes and project plans for the Onsite Deployment team. Partnering with the Hardware Certification team, Suppliers, and the OTP Program, this individual, and their team, will be involved with any technology change that requires a physical touch within the restaurant.
This position will combine Project Management practices, process engineering skills, and hardware installation best practices to create effective and efficient deployment processes, implement them with Suppliers and/or the OTP Program, monitor their progress, and support their execution. This individual will have the responsibility of supervising and motivating both internal, outsourced/contractor, and Supplier teams, enabling them to complete assigned tasks in a timely manner and deliver high-end quality solutions.
The role reports to the Senior Manager Product Delivery for the Hardware Certification and Onsite Deployment team within the US Technology organization.
Accountabilities & Responsibilities:
- Engage with the US PMO, Product Owners, other MHQ Departments, Field partners, Suppliers/Vendors, the OTP Program, and O/O’s to design, prepare, communicate, and implement onsite deployment activities across multiple hardware platforms, including POS, Digital Menu Boards, Network/Infrastructure, Headset Systems, and Kiosks.
- Align with US Technology and US Business teams on sequencing, priorities, and dependencies for solution deployments.
- Provide the overall vision and structure in addition to running daily project activities such as schedule, risk and issue management, communications, etc.
- Exhibit executive leadership presence, understand objectives, drive the team to project completion, and present project plans and timelines to partners and Leadership committees.
- Collaborate and build strong relationships and alignment with deployment partners on solution bundle transition, training, documentation, and support matters to ensure rapid and repeatable deployment processes.
- Own the in-restaurant technology standards including Installation Standards and the technology included in the National Restaurant Building & Equipment Standards (NRBES).
- Oversee the technology aspects of the New Construction and existing BAU (Business as Usual) deployment processes.
- Forecast hardware and manage inventory levels with Suppliers/Vendors in support of onsite deployment plans.
- Train and mentor direct reports and nurture an environment where they can excel through encouragement and empowerment.
- Provide regular informal feedback, as well as formal feedback for performance reviews, and coaching for positions under this role’s supervision.
- Promote team empowerment by ensuring that each team member is fully engaged in the project with meaningful contributions/outcomes.
Qualifications:
- 3+ years’ experience in project management.
- Bachelor’s Degree required.
- Advanced experience with Microsoft Office Applications.
- Experience with tools such as Jira, Confluence, PowerBI, and Tableau.
- Superb communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to convey complex ideas in easy-to-understand business-friendly language.
- Ability to understand business challenges, drive process improvements, and translate into solutions.
- Thorough, with excellent analytical, technical, and problem-solving skills.
- Highly self-motivated and directed.
- Excellent time management skills.
- Creative problem solver able to look to the future beyond the way things have typically been done.
- Ability to develop and manage project schedules, communicate deadlines, enforce project deadlines, and creatively solve issues.

Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience building complex, cross-functional, large scale, repeatable processes.
- Deployment experience across a high-volume network of geographically dispersed sites.
