Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to fill the role of Child Welfare, Immigration, and Adoption Subject Matter Expert (SME).
The SME will play a critical role in evaluating performance indicators, analyzing existing data infrastructure, and providing expert guidance on best practices in child welfare, immigration, and adoption systems.
This position requires a deep understanding of industry regulations, laws, and statutes governing child welfare, immigration, and adoption and proficiency in data analysis and interpretation.
Role and Responsibilities
Evaluate performance indicators and existing performance measures within the data infrastructure.
Utilize expert knowledge of child welfare, immigration, and adoption systems to analyse data analytics strategies currently in use.
Interpret statistical and numerical data to assess performance and compare with established performance measures and indicators.
Provide recommendations and designs for improvement of data architecture to ensure alignment with industry best practices.
Collaborate with stakeholders to monitor and ensure child safety, health, timely discharges, and family unifications.
Support the development of reports containing both qualitative and quantitative information to inform decision-making processes.
Stay updated on industry trends, regulations, and best practices related to child welfare, immigration, and adoption systems.
Minimum Qualification
Bachelor’s degree in child welfare, early childhood development, social work, child psychology, or a closely related field.
Strong working knowledge of child welfare, immigration, and adoption systems and best practices.
Minimum of five (5) years of experience working in a state or local child welfare system directly with local programs or state-funded systems.
Experience with foster care, adoption, and childcare licensing systems governing laws, statutes, and regulations.
Proficiency in data analysis and interpretation.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and independently as needed.
