Job Description
AbbVies EPIC team is responsible for building and deploying scalable in-house generative AI applications to boost productivity and accelerate scientific innovation. As a Technical Product Manager for the EPIC team, you will be responsible for organizing, planning and communicating the work of a small but talented team of developers. Your role will involve prioritizing sprints, assigning tickets, scheduling meetings, monitoring progress and setting deadlines. Moreover, you will be a key communicator to stakeholders, helping to create user-friendly documentation and to prioritize user feedback.
In this role you will be responsible for:

• Prioritize and plan sprints, ensuring alignment with project goals and timelines
• Assign Jira tickets and tasks to team members, ensuring workload distribution and resource optimization
• Schedule and facilitate meetings, including stand-ups, sprint planning, and retrospectives
• Monitor project progress, identify potential risks or bottlenecks, and proactively address them
• Gather requirements and ensure project deliverables meet expectations
• Assist in drafting user-friendly documentation and educational materials
• Engage with users and leverage feedback to further prioritize the teams work
• Foster a collaborative and supportive team environment, promoting knowledge sharing and continuous improvement

Experiences that make you a strong fit for this role:
Required:

• Bachelors Degree with 6 years experience; Masters Degree with 5 years experience; PhD with 0 years experience in project management, business systems analysis, or software development.
• Knowledge of software development best practices
• Proficient in project management in Jira and similar tools
• Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively
• Strong leadership and team management abilities, with experience leading cross-functional teams
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Beneficial:

• Technical writing experience is a plus
• Experience working in the Life Sciences industry
