Who We Are Looking For

The Director of Data & Quality Assurance will oversee the organization’s activities of quality assurance by developing, implementing, and maintaining a system of quality and reliability testing for the organization’s standards. The Director will oversee the organization’s information systems’ integration into all programs and services, and work closely with cross-departmental leadership. The director will set goals and guidelines, establish written protocols and timelines, liaise with external business partners such as vendors and suppliers, manage supportive staff, and develop strategies to optimize operations. As the Director of Data & Quality Assurance, it is essential to lead and encourage staff to reach performance and service goals, all while implementing the company’s policies and regulations.

Responsibilities of the Director of Data & Quality Assurance :

  • Manage information systems and client databases, oversee strategic design of database collection processes, and prepare statistical reports to be reviewed by the senior leadership team, program directors, and other staff as appropriate.
  • Partner with external consultants to ensure consistent utilization of information systems, staff training of information systems, and consistent quality standards.
  • Partner with senior leadership and program directors to develop and implement procedures to ensure that program outputs and outcomes meet required specifications for quality, function, and reliability based on accrediting quality standards.
  • Oversee users and user roles within all information systems, while ensuring data integrity within HIPAA rules and regulations.
  • Oversee end-user training of all information systems, including the creation of formal written procedures, aligned with quality standards.
  • Create and perform/oversee data quality assessments of critical data, identifying and prioritizing issues, and performing root cause analyses of issues.
  • Develop preventative and corrective actions to improve data quality.
  • Oversee grant output/outcome reporting based on contracts, funder expectations, state/federal reporting.
  • Oversee contract with client database system and ensure support hours are utilized in alignment to strategic data needs.
  • Review COA and state/federal standards regularly and communicate changes/updates that require agency action to remain at highest standards to senior leadership team and other appropriate staff.
  • Coordinate policy and procedure changes with appropriate staff to ensure ongoing compliance.
  • Coordinate periodic programs and services testing processes which could include case record reviews, quality data report testing, etc.
  • Schedule and facilitate oversight of quarterly case record reviews.
  • Assist in reviewing all new programs and services regarding standards of information systems, database design and data management, and quality assurance testing.
  • Assist in preparing programs for any licensure, contract monitoring and/or accreditation as necessary.
  • Assist with corrective action plans in response to any deficits of monitoring visits by the respective source.
  • Assist with oversight of Performance Based Contract baselines and create quarterly monitoring/reporting for progress and monitoring of performance.
  • Assist in grant research and grant writing relative to program outcomes and data reporting.
  • Assist to maintain compliance with federal, state, local, and organizational laws, regulations, guidelines, and policies.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

What we expect in a Director of Data & Quality Assurance at Monroe Harding

Education and Experience

Bachelor’s degree and experience preferred. Three to Five years of experience in a related field can be substituted for education.
