RF Test Engineer

RF Test Engineer - Minimum 3x Onsite in SVC Pay Range: 75-85/hr
Contract Duration: 8.5-months
A Fortune 50 Client is looking for a RF Test Engineer to work hybrid out of their Silicon Valley office.

Responsibilities:

1. Building equipment used in the manufacturing process.
2. Test and validation in the reality headset program. Board level wireless calibration and tests (Wifi/Bluetooth/GPS sub-systems). Device Calibration and set-up for verification and occasionally 3rd party efforts have their test sets working correctly. Test automation for those systems.
3. Execute test plans, scenarios, scripts or procedures.
4. Test system modifications to prepare for implementation.
5. Develop testing programs that address areas such as database impacts, software scenarios, or usability.
6. Document software defects, using a bug tracking system, and report defects to software developers.
7. Identify, analyze and document problems with program function, output, online screen or content.
8. Monitor bug resolution efforts and track successes.
9. Create or maintain databases of known test defects.
10. Plan test schedules or strategies in accordance with project scope or delivery dates.
11. Working with the RF Engineering team to ensure devices are calibrated and work with Software Engineers that are developing the test automation.

Candidate Requirements:

1. 5+ Years of Experience Wifi/BT/Signal measurements (what's actually measured with the equipment).
2. 5+ Years of Experience L1-L5, Electrical signal loss, S Parameters.
3. Basic Experience (3-4 Years of Experience) Python or PowerShell Scripting language experience.

Qualifications:

1. Associates degree in a technical field such as computer science, computer engineering or related field required.
2. 8-10 years experience required.
3. Experience testing software.
4. Experience writing test documentation such as Test Plans, scripts and test results reports.
5. Ability to analyze/interpret test results and provide recommendations to improve testing.
