The Cybersecurity Technical Project Manager (TPM) will work closely with leadership, teams, and various stakeholders to enhance our cybersecurity posture through strategic project management within governance, risk, and compliance (GRC). This role demands a unique blend of strategic oversight, technical understanding, and excellent communication to drive project success without direct responsibilities in coding or design.Candidates should have a strong background in cybersecurity, with an emphasis on project management skills and a solid understanding of GRC frameworks.JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:Lead the lifecycle management of Information Security Governance programs, from initiation to completion, ensuring alignment with governance strategies.Facilitate process optimization and improvements by documenting use cases and service requests, identifying improvement opportunities, and managing the scope and traceability of requirements.Maintain meticulous tracking of work items, lead complex analyses for backlog issues, and ensure visibility through standardized reporting and dashboards.Support cybersecurity policy development, including controls, standards, and leveraging security analytics for strategic governance improvement.Develop and standardize documentation templates for security policies, guidelines, and standards.JOB REQUIREMENTS:Proven experience in program/project management within the cybersecurity field.Deep understanding of GRC (Governance, Risk, Compliance) principles as they relate to cybersecurity.Strong analytics and data management skills, with proficiency in tools such as Excel, MS Teams, Archer, JIRA, & Confluence.Industry Experience Required:Prior experience in the cybersecurity governance, compliance, or risk management domain is essential for this role.Education:Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Marketing, Business, or a relevant field of study preferred.ABOUT AKRAYAAkraya is an award-winning IT staffing firm consistently recognized for our commitment to excellence and a thriving work environment.
