SUMMARY OF POSITION:

The primary role of the Director of Sales and Marketing is to oversee the sales, budgets, and run all programs related to marketing. They must implement budget goals and revenue targets, evaluate the progress of the various teams, participate in securing sales and reaching out to high profile clients, and even negotiate contracts. Furthermore, they have the discretion to assign pricing and discounts, strategize ways to build a more substantial client base, and lead a team of skilled professionals to boost sales and improve client satisfaction.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Training sales managers, identify key markets, stay on top of emerging trends, and collaborate with teams.
  2. Manage all of the sales activities and sales managers.
  3. Develop and implement sales and marketing strategies and initiatives.
  4. Ensure sales representatives perform as per expectations and attain sales targets.
  5. Support and help sales representatives perform as per expectations and attain sales targets.
  6. Participate in meetings and conferences, prepare special quotes and respond to customers for improving sales.
  7. Develop professional close relations and maintain regular communication with reps, customers and internal staff.
  8. Identify customer needs, develop collateral, and determine product pricing and discount rates.

EXPERIENCE, SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE:

  1. Excellent sales and negotiating skills.
  2. Exceptional communication skills – both written and verbal.
  3. Comfortable presenting ideas and solutions to leadership and key business partners.
  4. Strong attention to detail.
  5. Strong organizational skills and time management skills.
  6. Ability to establish and maintain strong relationships.
  7. Proficient in MS Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
