Goldberg Segalla, a dynamic and collaborative law firm with a national presence, seeks a highly motivated and organized individual to join its team as a Billing Process Team Lead in its Buffalo, NY office. The Billing Process Team Lead will be responsible for daily support to the Billing Process Team. This individual must become familiar with and follow existing Firm billing policies and procedures. They must be able to communicate professionally with internal and external clients, attorneys, and paralegals. Candidate will be working closely with other departments within a large team and should possess good team building skills. They must be comfortable working in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment. Strong follow-up skills and communication is a must.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

  1. Pursue a thorough understanding of all e-billing platforms and applications to develop expertise in e-billing.
  2. Acquire comprehensive knowledge of all billing processes and applications to become a subject matter expert regarding the firm's programs.
  3. Communicate eBilling updates on new information, procedures, or policies to ensure transparency across teams. Provide daily support to the Billing Process Team and assist in addressing their inquiries including the Missing Matters Team, Budgets Team, Timekeeper Team, and File Closing Group.
  4. Provide daily guidance to the Billing Process Team including support for Missing Matters, Budgets, Timekeeper Management, and File Closing.
  5. Collaborate effectively with the Billing Process team and Supervisor to promote a professional and positive team culture.
  6. Oversee daily review, research, and issue resolution within various e-billing platforms.
  7. Perform all implementation responsibilities, including communication across multiple teams, and set-up in various systems.
  8. Monitor and provide support for staff coverage during time off and assist with overflow tasks as necessary.
  9. Acknowledge the importance of follow-up and issue resolution.
  10. Facilitate training for new hires and ongoing professional development for current team members within the department, offering additional coaching and training as required.

EXPERIENCE/REQUIREMENTS:
  1. At least three (3) years of billing, accounts receivable, and/or accounting experience preferred.
  2. Preferably possesses a strong knowledge of e-billing.
  3. Bachelor’s degree preferred but not required.
  4. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  5. Strong analytical skills, forward thinking, and creative.
  6. Ability to demonstrate self-motivation and ownership of assigned work.
  7. Acknowledge the importance of follow-up and issue resolution.
  8. Computer skills including understanding of Microsoft Excel and Word.
  9. Candidate should be motivated with the goal of becoming a long-term asset within the organization.

Benefits:
This role offers a salary. The annual salary range for this position is $55,000 - $65,000. Actual pay may be adjusted based on experience and other job-related factors permitted by law. This position also offers a full benefits package.
