ELECTRICAL ESTIMATOR

Delta Construction Partners is a national executive search firm for the nation's premier electrical contractors and industry professionals. Delta has been retained by a confidential client to conduct a search for the position of Electrical Estimator in Austin, Texas.

Electrical Estimator Compensation & Benefits

Total compensation for the Electrical Estimator in Austin, TX is between $105,000 and $125,000.

Electrical Estimator & Responsibilities

  • Manage all aspects of the estimating processes while meeting deadlines and REG objectives, both short and long term.
  • Perform material and labor takeoffs on various types of projects.
  • Provide leadership and training to develop other estimators, estimator trainees, and others on the estimating team.
  • Work directly with project managers to ensure a high-quality estimate is delivered on time.
  • Forward requests for quotations.
  • Update the bid schedules.
  • Assign jobs to Estimators and review progress to assure schedule dates are met.
  • Determine the most competitive bid approach with Executive team.
  • Review the estimate's consistency with company's objectives.
  • Review labor rates, indirect labor, expenses, that are suitable for the job.
  • Attend pre-bid walks, walk-throughs and related meetings as required.
  • Assist in the bidding to GCs or other related parties.
  • Develop relationships with customers, engineers, and general contractors.

Electrical Estimator Qualifications

  • 8+ years' experience in electrical estimating of commercial construction.
  • Successful estimating for projects valued $1M - $5M+.
  • Proficiency in Accubid, LiveCount, MS Office, Navis Works, Bluebeam.
  • Possess ability to understand legal requirements, reviewing contracts etc.
  • Problem-solving skills, ability to effectively present information and respond efficiently to situations.
  • Organized, good communicator, time management skills and well-spoken.
  • Candidate must have great management & organization skills.
  • Candidate must have strong verbal and written skills.

Preferred but Not Necessary

  • Journeyman License or Degree
