We are seeking a highly skilled and passionate Head of Marketing to join our Outdoor Performance platform which consists of Blackhawk, Bushnell, Camp Chef, Primos Hunting, Simms Fishing and Stone Glacier. In this role, you will be responsible for leading a dynamic, multi-brand marketing organization. You will work closely with individual brand leaders and marketers and lead the formation and development of innovative marketing plans that support each brand’s strategies. Your love of the outdoors, prowess as a marketer, and innovative thinking will ensure our brands stand apart with unique positions, compelling stories and content, and experiences that strengthen our connection with outdoor enthusiasts while inviting newcomers.
As a key member of the Revelyst Outdoor Performance leadership team, you will join your peers in developing cohesive business plans and strategies, creating and maintaining a vibrant culture of engaged team members, and ensuring the overall success of our business.
This position reports to the President, Outdoor Performance and is based out of Bozeman, Montana.
As the Head of Marketing, your key duties and responsibilities include:
- Work hand-in-hand with our brand leaders, commercial leaders, and the broader marketing organization to develop, implement, and deploy impactful seasonal, annual, and long-term marketing plans and strategies that align with goals and contribute to platform growth.
- Apply strong, inspirational leadership skills to lead, develop, and mentor a best-in-class cross-functional, cross-brand marketing organization. Develop frameworks, processes, and best practices to be utilized across brands.
- Drive brand & product awareness and consumer affinity through compelling storytelling and impactful campaigns that both resonate with our core outdoor enthusiasts as well as transcend beyond the endemic noise to reach new consumers and elevate our brands.
- Enable strong consumer led thinking by leading and enabling market research, landscape assessments, and analysis and interpretation of market data, to unlock insights to inform strategic, annual, and seasonal planning.
- Lead the design and management of the Marketing department’s budget, ensure optimal utilization of resources relative to individual brand business plans and strategies. Prioritize marketing projects and allocate resources accordingly.
- Partner with direct-to-consumer organization to optimize full-funnel spend and campaigns for maximum brand and revenue impact.
- Develop marketing key performance indicators, ensure teams are tracking and monitoring investment and activity against targets, work with team to improve and optimize as necessary.
- Select and manage key external agency partners as needed.
- Set current and long-term goals for the marketing department.
- Forecast hiring needs for the Marketing department.
- Act as a key contributor in the quarterly, annual, and long-range planning of the company’s objectives.
You have:
- Bachelor's degree or graduate degree, preferably in marketing, business administration, or communications.
- 10+ years’ experience in brand and marketing leadership role.
- Strong sense of brand and the ability to communicate broadly to the target market.
- Proven track record of driving profitable sales growth through marketing efforts.
- Track record of innovative strategic thinking combined with pragmatic, roll-up the-sleeves execution and results delivery.
- Ability to work across functions and across an executive team to catalyze change in a positive, collaborative, and transparent way.
- Demonstrated leadership in recruiting, retaining, and managing a high performing team.
- A passion for the outdoors, particularly fishing, camping, hunting, and outdoor cooking.
