Azure Summit Technology provides a wide range of multi-channel, software-defined radio solutions for applications including surveillance, communications, radar, direction finding, emitter location, and interference cancellation. What will you do?
Azure Summit Technology is currently seeking a Logistics Analyst with the ability to assist in Material Resource Planning and Configuration Management. The selected candidate will be part of a dynamic, growing, cross-functional, and geographically distributed team. This position is located on-site at our facility in Fairfax, Virginia, with occasional overnight travel to our office in Melbourne, Florida, and Azure's suppliers nationwide. Your future team has worked together to produce the following job description:
The selected candidate will be responsible for all aspects of logistics support for several ongoing projects, as well as material resource planning and configuration management support. Responsibilities include: serving as Azure Summit's representative in logistics discussions with customer personnel; preparing logistics documentation based on engineering input to include provisioning, reliability and maintainability data; working with the engineering staff to develop and maintain program, product, system and subsystem bills of materials (BOM) and verifying them against design documents related to these items; soliciting and archiving quotes from suppliers; entering and maintaining BOM and other parts hierarchy information in Azure's Material Resource Planning System; generating and validating purchase requisitions; tracking and expediting purchase orders to development and production schedules; and coordinating material receiving, inspection, acceptance and rejection, and documentation of conformance. Configuration management responsibilities include establishment and maintenance of a configuration-controlled baseline of design drawings and parts lists in coordination with Engineering.
Basic Requirements
- US citizenship, due to nature of the work and contract requirement
- DoD SECRET clearance, due to the nature of the work and contract requirement
- Bachelor's degree in Logistics Management, Industrial or Manufacturing Technology or Engineering, Business, or another relevant field or equivalent experience
- Minimum 3 years' experience with Integrated Logistics support for Department of Defense program(s)
- Minimum 2 years' experience using Microsoft Excel or equivalent spreadsheet software for data collection, analysis, and tracking
- Minimum 1 years' experience in material planning for hardware system development or production
Preferred Qualifications
- DoD TOP SECRET security clearance
- Strong writing, interpersonal communication, and customer service skills
- Strong work ethic and attention to detail
- Experience working with Costpoint or an equivalent material management system
- Experience with configuration management for Department of Defense systems, including configuration identification, configuration status accounting, or physical configuration audits
- Experience working with Sharepoint, SVN, or other data repository tools
