CLOSING DATE: Open until filledPOSITION: Title ExaminerProgram: Land Title and Records Office*SALARY: * $24.60-$25.34REPORTS TO: Land Title Records ManagerLOCATION: Nespelem, WA*Basic Functions: * The incumbent is responsible for critical title research. This includes analyzing and examining complex historical documents ensuring all data is accurate. Incumbent will ensure all ownership and title records are maintained.MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:*Education and Training: *Requires Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in Real Estate, Finance, or Market Research; AND five years' demonstrated experience directly related to this position;OR six years of experience directly related to Real Property Management or education may be substituted if it is directly related to Real Property ManagementKnowledge, Skills, and Abilities:Requires knowledge of Federal, State, County and Tribal regulationsRequires knowledge and understanding of Title 25, Indians, Code of Federal Regulations, 54 Indian Affairs Manual, Bureau Policy, and directives; real estate terminology, practices and contractual documentsRequires knowledgeable in different types of ownership documents whether fee or trustRequires knowledge of the laws, regulations, and other guidelines which prescribe procedures and authorities covering all phases of work in order to serve the public, both Indian and Non-IndianRequires knowledge of TAAMS, Word Processing and spreadsheetsRequires the ability to review documents and identify potential errorsRequires the ability to read legal descriptions, surveys on real estate and BLM/GLO platsRequires the ability to keep accurate recordsRequires the ability to write complete and clear reportsRequires the ability to pass security clearance to access all Federal Trust SystemsNote: Pursuant to Tribal Policy, if this position is safety sensitive it is subject to pre-employment drug testing. In addition, this position is subject to reasonable suspicion and post-accident drug testing.TRIBAL MEMBER AND INDIAN PREFERENCE WILL APPLY; PREFERENCE WILL ALSO BE GIVEN TO HONORABLY DISCHARGED VETERANS WHO ARE MINIMALLY QUALIFIED.If required of this position, you must possess and maintain a valid Washington State driver's license and be eligible for the Tribes' Vehicle Insurance.
