ABOUT THE ROLE

As the General Manager, you will:

  • Lead with Passion: Drive our vision to create a remarkable guest experience, ensuring every visitor feels like part of the VOCO family.
  • Inspire Your Team : Build, mentor, and motivate a dedicated team to deliver exceptional service, fostering a culture of excellence and collaboration.
  • Innovate: Develop and implement creative marketing strategies to promote the hotel, attract guests, and enhance our brand presence.
  • Ensure Operational Excellence: Oversee daily operations, ensuring efficiency, quality, and compliance with industry and brand standards and regulations.
  • Financial Stewardship: Manage budgets, forecasts, and financial performance, optimizing revenue while controlling costs to drive profitability.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Create and maintain a customer-driven hotel with a customer-keeping vision that inspires the hotel employees to do their best. Oversee the quality process to ensure customer satisfaction by consistent delivery of both product quality, brand standards and service in accordance with the hotel's profitability goals.
  • Perform administrative duties including: clearly defining operating objectives, setting goals, striving for continual performance and improvement, reading and writing reports, and orally communicating with guests, managers, corporate office, local associations, etc.
  • Oversee and coordinate Forecasts and Budgets, following specified procedures and meeting posted deadlines.
  • Keep abreast of local, state and federal laws while ensuring compliance with wage and hour laws, business taxes, liquor laws, permits and licenses, OSHA and EEOC requirements.
  • Interview, hire, supervise and counsel department heads and supervisors in the efficient operation of their respective area(s).
  • Physically tour and visually inspect property on a daily basis. Monitor cost control, cleanliness and quality of product and service throughout the hotel.
  • Travel to attend corporate meetings, sales trips and serve on committees.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Proven experience as a General Manager for boutique hotels; IHG experience is preferred.
  • Exceptional leadership and interpersonal skills.
  • Creative mindset, eager to implement innovative ideas that enhance guest experiences.
  • Strong financial acumen and experience in managing budgets and revenue.
  • Service-oriented with exceptional customer service skills.
  • Must be able to work during Springboard Hospitality business hours, while understanding that the hotel business functions 24/7 and some evenings, weekend and holiday work will be required.
