What You Can Expect

The Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A) Advisor will support the Utility Scale Renewables business in the US by managing the project acquisition process, assessing, and formalizing development partnerships and contributing to the development and implementation of the US Renewables Development (USRD) businesses commercial strategy.

Every day in this role you will independently lead M&A transactions, coordinating activities internally and externally, and running workstreams within transactions.

  1. Support valuation processes by collecting and validating pro forma modeling inputs, collaborating with the project finance team.
  2. Lead counterparty negotiations, ensuring alignment and progress in both external and internal conversations.
  3. Develop materials for internal governance processes, maintain transaction data, and support group reporting.
  4. Assist the M&A team with transactions, process development, management, market entry plans, and maintain commercial and competitive intelligence.

What You’ll Bring

  1. Bachelor's Degree where you completed courses in finance, accounting, business administration, economics, engineering, or related field of study.
  2. Minimum seven (7) years of professional experience with increasing levels of responsibility, consulting experience or experience in or supporting the energy industry at a developer, utility, bank, or investor.
  3. Outstanding analytical skills and demonstrated expertise in developing and utilizing detailed, Excel-based models and PowerBi.
  4. Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  5. Ability to design processes and execute programs within a cross-functional and dynamic environment; project management experience is beneficial.
  6. Pro-Active, effective problem solving abilities, confident, and approachable with a leadership mindset, attention to detail, willingness and ability to learn.

Compensation

Salary Range: $112,000 – $172,500 USD annually

This represents the average expected pay range for a qualified candidate. Actual offered salary may depend on geography, experience, industry knowledge, education, internal pay alignment, or other bona fide factors.

In addition to base pay, this position is eligible for a competitive bonus/incentive plan.
