501248 Aviation System Safety AnalystWork Location: Huntsville, ALSchedule: Full TimeRelocation: NegotiableIronMountain Solutions, Inc. is seeking an Aviation System Safety Analyst for the Huntsville, AL area supporting the Apache Attack Helicopter Project Management Office (AAH-PMO). An ideal candidate should be highly motivated, a self-starter, and be able to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and work effectively with others. A successful candidate must have the ability to conduct research and analysis to determine factual assessments and identify achievable mitigation strategies. Candidates should have an undergraduate degree or an equivalent amount of relevant experience, and a working knowledge of aviation systems and system safety processes and procedures. Candidates must have the ability to obtain and maintain a Secret level security clearance.Job Responsibilities:Plan, manage, coordinate, and evaluate a comprehensive system safety program for an Aviation/Weapons SystemConduct meetings with internal PMO Staff, matrix support personnel, and contractor personnel to determine the status of safety programs, budgets, costs, schedules, and accomplishments and takes appropriate action to correct deficiencies and/or improve program statusEvaluate contractor system safety and health hazard reports for technical competence, completeness and accuracy; then provide and advise the Government with recommended changes to contractor's documentation based on evaluationsLead, guide, and mentor the workforce in dealing with complex problems associated with system safetyLead System Safety Working Group and Safety IPTsEnsure compliance with the requirements of applicable safety regulations and industry standardsPrepare, review, and approve major reports and / or policies for internal and external distributionMust be willing and able to travel up to 25%Education and General Experience:An undergraduate degree from an accredited institution or equivalent specific relevant experience is requiredExperience and knowledge of DoD acquisition and life cycle management policies, procedures and practices with emphasis in aviation maintenance and aviation safety message process is requiredExperience and knowledge with commercial and military safety standards, practices, and regulations such as MIL-STD-882E, AR 385-10, AMCOM 385-17, RTCA DO-178C, SAE ARP 4754A, SAE ARP 4761, etc. is requiredAviation Safety Officer experience is desiredAH-64E operational experience is desiredFive plus (5+) years of system safety experience working with the Department of Defense supporting a Project Management Office is desiredSalary Range:$90,000 to $120,000 based on qualifications.Clearance Requirements: The ability to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance is required.IronMountain Solutions is an Equal Opportunity Employer/SDVOSB
